Gareth Williams

Gareth has been an advanced Thai yoga massage practitioner for over 17 years and is registered with The Thai Yoga Massage Association, (TTYMA). He trained with Kira Balaskas, who runs The School of Thai Yoga Massage, in London and also took courses with Asokananda, one of the world’s leading teachers. Now sadly missed, Asokananda was the first to publish a book on the subject in any language other than Thai and was instrumental in bringing this ancient, yoga related, healing art to the West.
It was through additional work with Kira that Gareth qualified to train others to become practitioners on the regular courses that he runs with his wife Chantal, in the UK.
Complimenting his work with Thai yoga massage, Gareth also has over a decade of experience as a yoga teacher.
He’s qualified with the British Wheel of Yoga (BWY) and with Sadhana Mala / Association of Yoga Studies (AYS).
He is based in Cheltenham, where he runs a thriving yoga school, with Chantal. They run daily classes, workshops, Yoga Foundation Courses and yoga holidays and retreats.  For more info go to

Chantal Rafferty

Chantal Rafferty has been practicing Thai yoga massage since 2006 and also trained with Kira Balaskas. Please take a look at our home page for her upcoming workshops and courses in London.
As a yoga teacher Chantal believes that her Thai yoga massage training has enhanced her yoga teaching and understanding of the human body not only on a physical level but also energetically.  Thai yoga massage is essentially an energy based massage and likewise yoga is very much about working with one’s energy.
Chantal specialises in Thai yoga massage during pregnancy.  Like a yoga practice, Thai yoga massage can be adapted to suit any individual in any given situation.
Chantal is both a member of the British Wheel of Yoga (BWY) and the Association of Yoga Studies (AYS).
Chantal and Gareth also run yoga holidays and retreats in the UK, France, Sicily, Spain and Morocco. Passionate about travelling and yoga they continue to add more holidays to their ever increasing list. Take a look at
